Here's a collection of vero (stripboard) and tagboard guitar and bass effect layouts that we have put together covering many classic and popular effects in growing numbers. Many of these have been posted on freestompboxes.org, so check that site out for great discussions on building your own effect pedals. Enjoy the builds and please also visit us on Facebook and Twitter
I just build this, and there are some problems...theres some oscillation. I replaced all 120pf to 220pf but theres still oscillation. I changed pot also and tried different ic, but no diffrence. Everything works, exept for the oscillation. Any suggestions?
One common cause of oscillation is interference between the input and output wires, and they are obviously very close together from the point they connect to the board. Try moving one as far away from the other as you can and see if you notice a difference. If you do then you may want to try a shielded cable with the shield grounded for those two wires.
I try that. I looked at the schematic for this and noticed that instead of the 10uf that goes to the 27ohm resistor is 1uf in the schematic, it dosent matter maybe :)
I changed both 10uf to 1uf and shielded cables, but the squeeling remains. Its just those last millimeters on the distortion pot that squeels. Well, I maybe try to work with it a little more later on...

ReplyDeleteIt's my video !! ..No problem ....
ReplyDeleteGood job, your site is very very great !!
my channel on youtube for effect pedal is "yococ14"
Thanks Yohan!

DeleteAnything in the gain section of the circuit could affect it so I'd say try it.

ReplyDeleteFirst IC should be in/out buffer - I guess it would be smart to think of a LITE version without the buffers?! Renegadrian
ReplyDeleteVerified!!! Great circuit!
ReplyDeleteThe voltage divider resistor in the schem are 22k.should that affect the level output?
