Tycobrahe Parapedal Original

Here's another version of the Tycobrahe Parapedal, but unlike the previous layout, which is apparently a modified from the stock, we had some people in the forum trace an original one, Ciaran posting the schematic before I finished my trace, found  here. The only thing different is I added the usual input and output pulldown resistors to prevent any popping.

Original Positive Ground Version

Theoretically, here's the layout but changed to more common Negative Ground

SoulSonicFX - Stage Overdrive

A great sounding overdrive by Soulsonic from the FSB forum.
You can find the original thread here.

Madbean Pig Butt

Brian's description:
The PigButt is a modded Op-Amp Muff.
It's a nasty little beast, full of saturated distortion; not too edgy nor too smooth.
It provides a wonderfull "wall of fuzz" like the Big Muff but with a different feel and texture.
The PigButt also features a tone bypass switch for even greater distorted output.

Lovetone Big Cheese

Here is the Lovetone Big Cheese with the OLC Chunky Cheese mod to increase the output volume
Original Infos:
The Big Cheese is a loving homage to the nasty, buzzy yet gorgeous and harmonically rich early fuzz. While having many of the classic characteristics that every fuzz fan will relate to it goes beyond to create an absolutely distinct character of its own. Its innovative and interactive controls can take it from almost "gated" break-up to overkill of shred proportions.
Far from being just a guitar pedal however the Big Cheese™ is eminently useful for seeing to any sound with the temerity to be naff or boring (with particularly amusing consequences in the lower regions). To lovers of that extraordinary spectacle known to some as "furrrzze bass!" it offers terminally thunderous, ripping yet glitch-free and buttock-clenching
mayhem that can only be described as Larry Graham on steroids (as demonstrated to devastating effect by the man himself!).

Ibanez NB-10 Noise Buster

Original info:
Unlike conventional noise gates, the IBANEZ NB 10 Noise Buster is capable of cutting out noise not only while there is no signal flow, but during actual playing as well, thus providing far more effective noise reduction. A FREQUENCY control lets the musician eliminate noise components without impairing the envelope or sustain of the original sound. With the NB10, players are liberated from the adverse influence of stage lighting or single coil pick-ups on their music, and high gain distortion effects can be used without having to worry about noise.

1776 Multiplex Jr.

A great 1776 Effects delay to be added to our vero library.

Lastgasp Art Laboratories Rattle Crow Restive Filter

Just saw this schem posted in the forum and thought it looked like a pretty cool effect. The original has a funky LED setup and uses the 3rd pole of the 3PDT to cut the 9V connection to the whole circuit. I have drawn this layout to fit our normal offboard wiring.

Info from manufacturer:

The "RATTLE CROW RESTIVE FILTER" (RC) is an effect pedal in which the filter is affected according to the size of the input.

Characterized by a wild and sorrowful tone.

The RC is a kind of auto wah, but it has hysterical and distorted qualities, a broken auto wah sound.

Tycobrahe Parapedal Modified

I saw a request for this effect, and strangely enough I have been looking at making one of these of awhile. Not a whole lot of info on this out there, but here's what I found on the Chicago Iron site about there clone of it.

The Tycobrahe Parapedal was unique in that it used two pots to create it's own incredible wah type sound. The Parapedal was made in the mid seventies by Tycobrahe Engineering and has become quite a collectors item, that is - if you can find one. They were made in such small quantities that their value has sky-rocketed. Ask any vintage effect dealer for one(if they can find one).

What I do know is that Geezer Butler and Tony Iommi both used one, and that's enough of a reason for me to build one. Just listen to N.I.B. and you'll hear it on Geezer's bass solo intro.

Original was Positive Ground:

I also made the few changes to make it Negative Ground so you can daisy chain it:

Parasit Studio - Into The Unknown

Fredrik (Freppo) from Parasit Studio asked me to draw a vero layout for his latest creation:
Into the Unknown Guitar Synthesizer Deluxe, the big brother of his 0415 Guitar Synth.
If you want more infos on this great pedal or want to buy one of Fredrik's tidy PCBs you can check his website:

Here is a slightly modified version to stop ticking in bypass mode.
Removed the link between pins 8 & 11 of CD4069 in the top right corner and changed the LFO switch to DPDT On-Off-On.
Connected pin 8 to the new switch lugs 4 & 6 and pin 11 to lug 5.
Thanks to Michael Oriente for his suggested mod!
