ReplyDeleteCan anyone verify this layout? are pins 5-7 unused on the TLC2262. I am planning to use a TL022 and I found a schematic from SoundToys showing pins 1-3 are unused, like someone switched the direction of the IC. Is TL022 configured the same as TLC2262?

It's quite possible that different layouts use different channels of the opamp. 1-3 is one channel, 5-7 is the other and it doesn't matter which you use, so I used the one which flowed best with the layout.

I do however have the diy attitude to make my own. the only thing is, i have no experience. could anyone point me in the right direction as to where i can learn about the process before i attempt to make the pedal?
ReplyDeleteI learned from a BYOC kit. But I think if you start with a very easy project from this side it's doable. Lot's of info and weblinks here.
DeleteI got this one working. I dont feel like it has all that much gain though- and its sounds pretty terrible with the gain knob below 3 oclock-tone control is the same way. I wouldnt think subbing a tlc2272 for the 2262 would be the cause, anyone think differently? Would it be worth while auditioning different 386's?

I have to admit that I thought this would be a worthy opponent for the BMP but it has been gathering dust for a while now and I am looking for some solution to turn it into a better pedal.
so the tlc2262 didnt help any? I dont think it would, i dont know why i wrote that. So your experience is youre not getting as much fuzz as the demo above by muffboxgirl?
