Here's a collection of vero (stripboard) and tagboard guitar and bass effect layouts that we have put together covering many classic and popular effects in growing numbers. Many of these have been posted on freestompboxes.org, so check that site out for great discussions on building your own effect pedals. Enjoy the builds and please also visit us on Facebook and Twitter
A few questions: do you know why it has an asymmetric biasing on the opamp? Vref is not set to 4.5V but rather to about 5V. Also there is no power filtering on Vref, do you hapen to know why? Thanks!
Briggs is a great guy and too bad his blog is no longer updated.
ReplyDeleteHe's known to have lenghty pauses, so there's always a chance he'll be back...

nice
ReplyDeleteI guess any dual opamp will do, right?
ReplyDeleteYup. I think Fred used LF353 for its high grade audio qualities. But i bet it'll sound great with JRC4558, TL072 and others too.

You can mark this as verified too. I omitted the gain control, treble is very subtle. Very nice harmonics from this.
ReplyDeleteCool, thanks for verifying Alan

ReplyDeleteThat's the same values used in the Timmy, and Paul used them to get the maximum headroom out of the output stage. I assume Fred did likewise.
