  1. Hi,

I'm thinking of making some kind of pedal wich combines several pedals. So is it possible to build this LPB1 into a woolly mammoth for example to give it a boost? Should I just connect the output from the WM to the input of the LPB1 or is it more complicated than that? And how about wiring the power? And a last question: could you hook up 2 or more pedals to just one dpdt switch, so you can get a crazy sound when you push that switch?
    Thanks in advance, jonas

  2. Yes it's as simple as that, WM into LPB1 or LPB1 into WM in series depending whether you want more gain or more volume. As far as power goes you can just daisy chain from the supply. Some people would recommend you put a small resistor like 100 ohms in series with each supply line but I don't know whether that is absolutely necessary really because it's exactly the same as daisy chaining a power supply externally. But it may be worth trying if you get any excess noise.

You could have both effects in series and switched in and out as a whole via the main stomp switch, but you could include a couple of toggle switches to bypass each individual effect. So you could have a toggle to bypass or turn on the WM, a toggle to bypass or turn on the LPB1 and then the main foot switch will bypass or turn on the whole thing. Then you could just use it as an LPB1 (for instance) if you wanted to. Like this:

  5. Honestly just today I built this in 30 minutes.
Fired right up. Super easy layout but really adds a lot of nice tone to a dry signal.

  6. Hi Mark,
hope you can help me out with some wiring issues! I went for the woolly mammoth with the LPB1 after it, but i m having problems figuring out the orrboard stuff. This (http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j6/IvIark_2006/DIY/2effectsswitching.png) was a great find for me, (and a very lucky one - thanx a million for posting it), but i m using a 3pdt switch for the mains, plus i want to use a seperate led for each effect. Would that be at all possible with the two toggle 2pdt switches for the independent on offs? ANY help would be immensely appreciated!

  7. how would I go about eliminating the pot on this? I want to use this in front of another effect ( vicovibe) to boost the signal to a set level. Could I just use a trimmer?

    1. Yes you could do that no problem. It may be easier to use the vero layout here:

If you want I could adapt that for an onboard trimmer
