Traced on FSB by Asbestosaurus, this circuit looks at a first glance a bit like OD250/Dist+, but no. And the Sense control makes this quite interesting. I built my layout version one, but this is redrawn to make it better.. Anyway, nice to see something cool done to a single opamp drive topology.

ReplyDeleteWorks like a charm. Sounds pretty good, there's a little something extra to the tone I can't put my finger on. Maybe this is the "Smoky" element to it. It just seems to have a really pleasing sizzle to the sound I dig.

Built it today, what a treat. Kinda sounds like an amp sim to me in my chain, with a tube preamp and another fuzz. Can't wait until daylight to really annoy some neighbors! Trippy!
