Maxon OD-F1 Fire Blade Overdrive Effector

YATS from '94, recycled by Maxon. Asym clippers and slightly lower rolloff frequency for the high pass. Should be a decent alternative for the standard TS.

  1. Hi M.
If it says Maxon I am building it. If I finish first and it works I'll let you know.

  2. I think I may have to build this just because of the name. I *need* to be able to shout: "engage the Fire Blade Overdrive Effector!" before launching into a suitably crazed solo.

  4. Woo Woo! Another great Maxon OD/DIST pedal. I used a JRC4558 and it was good. Then a 5532 then a 2134. They were not; too my surprise as good as the JRC4558. Then I put in a TL082! That was best by far.
    verified.

  5. Man Mirosol. I thank you!! Your work is impeccable and the stuff you post is just fantastic. I've probably built over a hundred of your posts and the 70-80 that worked first time (lol) were/are great. My pedal board has been on stage with your stuff for about 5 years now without a single crap out. I've played/collected pedals since the original Tube Screamer and your stuff is more tweekable, cheaper beyond reason, and every bit as good soundwise as costly classics that I have had and still own. Thank you.

    3. What are you guys (spammers) talking about? ..
Any one seen the schematic for the Muffuletta.
      It's 6 Pi's in one pedal. I can't find it.
I think one of you geniuses could trace it easily. Did I spell geniuses right?

  9. TA75558? I guess if it ends in 558 one knows what to use....

I also like trying the TL082 in place of the 4558, depending on the pedal sometimes it adds a nice edge.
