Here's a collection of vero (stripboard) and tagboard guitar and bass effect layouts that we have put together covering many classic and popular effects in growing numbers. Many of these have been posted on freestompboxes.org, so check that site out for great discussions on building your own effect pedals. This is the MarkII, right? It looks like the MarkI has 6 pots while the MarkII has 4, like this vero does.
ReplyDeleteIt is Mark II.
ReplyDeleteVerified. Had to use a 4.7v Zener for D2 as had no 3.9v. Think this may effect the filter slightly so will swap out when some 3.9s arrive.
ReplyDeleteCool!
ReplyDeleteThanks Gavin for verifying both this and the Brown Dog!
Hi all.
ReplyDeleteI have been looking for something different. The brown Dog and 007 in one box might get me there. Can this be optimized for guitar when sequenced with the Brown dog? Any parts changes needed?
If I wanted to omit the Env jack, should I just ignore the wires or jumper them?
ReplyDeleteignore them
DeleteJust got around to building this and if you aren't using an Envelope jack they must be jumpered. The labels of the Envelope jack on this diagram are wrong. The envelope jack is a switched mono jack so they should be labeled something like Envelope Tip and Envelope Switch. With no cable plugged in they are connected. Plugging in the cable breaks the connection.
DeleteHi All,
ReplyDeleteNoob here. Question about the DPDT switch. Which diagram below should I be following?
Diagram A: http://www.learningaboutelectronics.com/images/DPDT-toggle-switch-diagram.png
Diagram B: http://media.stinkfoot.se/2010/11/DPDT.gif
Much appreciated!
On this blog it's always B.
DeleteThank you!
DeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI have everything else for this build, but there seems to be a shortage of LM324s over here. Can I substitute it with another TL074? Or something else?
Thanks in advance
Hi.
ReplyDeleteToday I finished making this effect.
Saturates much, looks like a fuzz.
The wah effect, nor does correctly.
I have reviewed and connections are correct. And the values of resistors, capacitors, diodes ........
I'm thinking remove the capacitors signal, if damaged the weld .........
But now I'm lost.
I would appreciate any help.
Thank you very much.
Need picture and voltages.
DeleteYou can upload them in the Forum Debugging section.
I have to register then.
DeleteAll right.
Who have done this effect ? Where is the switch that is in the original pedal ?
ReplyDeleteI supose you mean the Up/Down switch ? In that case, it's not called that on the layout but only "DPDT switch", but it's the same one.
DeleteJust finished the 00Funk and it’s great; everything from Bootsy to Glea and loads of other wacky, chewy sounds besides.
ReplyDeletecan anyone post voltages for this? trying to trouble shoot one of these?
ReplyDeleteAnyone ever try this with two tl074s instead of the 324?
ReplyDeleteI just built this and having plenty problems but it is the first time i have tried something so challenging! I am getting my dry sound, and if i have pitch knob maxed its like i am stangling the pedal, only the gentlest of notes can be played and there seems to be a slight osscilation. If i play normal attack then the LED goes out and it takes a second to come alive again. Please someone help me as i have been working on this for days!!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately i am having issues! This is the first time i have tried a pedal this complex - please help keep my pedal passion alive! It seems i am only getting my dry signal no matter the settings, but when i adjust the Pitch knob to max, i get some oscilation in the signal when i play very gently. When i play with more attack, the i get no signal and the led goes out! like it's strangling the circuit! If i let a note ring out it will slowly become audible again and oscilate slightly. I dont hear any of the wonders of this pedal!
ReplyDeleteI had a similar problem. The problem came from the "envelop jack" : this is a switched jack and not a stereo jack. Try by joining the envelop jack ring and the envelop jack tip for test.
