Here's a collection of vero (stripboard) and tagboard guitar and bass effect layouts that we have put together covering many classic and popular effects in growing numbers. Caline Englishman
Came across the schematic for this one over at FSB, and it's a pretty good marhally sounding OD/Distortion. Made by a company Caline, a Chinese company that sells direct. It's actually stupid cheap, to buy, seen them for sale $35usd new. You may be asking, "well if it's so cheap why spend time making a layout and build it myself?" The answer is simple, we can always improve upon it and use quality components. I mean really, who wants to waste money on something that made to be as cheap as possible.

Caline pedals are great! I'd like to see the Sandstorm traced out, is it a Crunch Box clone? Sounds great anyway.
ReplyDeleteSo it's a single channel c. martin plexitone. Now i'm wondering if i should get one.

DeleteI own it and it is actually really great sounding pedal. The only problem is I have some squeal. I suspect charge pump.

You should be able to.

ReplyDeleteActually, those Caline pedals are just as "cheap" as most people's DIY builds I see around the internet: alpha pots, film resistors, the usual blue 3PDT...
Got to disagree with you on that one. There are varying grades of components, and board. That coupled with the time it takes to build, which is the highest cost. You really get what you pay for.
DeleteHay mr.. onboard that 20 cuts or 21 cuts
DeleteDamn sory.. naw i zoom layout and i se cut under capasitor 470n ic2 pin 11 , naw work great like a charm ,thank mr great layout

DeleteSo you have built it and it works ok?
Thanks
Wow very nice sound. I had built it and it works ,Thank you for layout.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't see IC3 on the veroboard. IC3 is LF347N in the description. Is LF347N IC2?
ReplyDeleteWhat if I use linear potentiometer? :D
ReplyDeleteIs it possible that this pedal is a copy quite close to Carl Martin Plexitone?

Hi, anyone knows why you need to connect pin1(boost) of tc1044s to pin8(v+)? I tested it on veroboard and it provides -9 volts without this connection.
ReplyDeleteWhere does Gain 1 connect to?
