Pink Jimi Photon Flying Spaghetti Monster
Pink's latest original. It's suggested that "Bloom n' Boost" switch should be taken as a stomp. And you should probably play around with the clipping diodes too. The feedback loop transistor reportedly needs to be a high gain PNP Germanium for the circuit to work right. Don't know about you guys, but i'm going to build one for myself. Pink Jimi Photon's Transmission OD
Incorporating couple of cool ideas, here' one from the man, Pink Jimi Photon. Note that the master volume control is optional and anything smaller than 1M will probably hurt the output level. The level should be within reasonable limits without it.
Here's the original description:
Positive it's been done a gazillion times before. but one little twist... i added a simple control to be able to "pan" between the two clippers... one made with 1n4001's (slower clipping for the lows) and one with 1n4148's (faster clipping for the highs)... it works, kinda sorta.. it's more noticeable at some settings than others, it's mostly useful for dialing in "touch sensitivity"..
the tone control is what it is, fairly simple and crude... but for one freekin' transistor, it actually works pretty well!! at least i think it does..
i didn't put a master volume on it. you just crank up the gain to where ya want it. unity gain is about 8:00, above that it just kinda gets more saturated (and a bit louder)...
how does it sound? kinda like a tube screamer. ::) which wasn't what i really expected at all... it's a kinda nasal middy overdrive, cleanish, but enough to bump an amp into a really nice natural overdrive sound.

Jimi Photon Suzy-Q MKII
There was a bit hassle with this one, but now it's verified and working. Comments on the post are a good read if you're building this. Thanks to Mr. Photon for his amazing work, and special thanks to Pete who verified this.

Lardacious Phat Bastard
Pink Jimi Photon is one hell of a dude.
nothing special or probably un-done before....this USED to be the "stereo make up gain stage" i built for my mn3007 clone theory build...
ever eco-conscious <vbg> i decided to cascade the two preamps. and add a footswitchable diode clipper. all built in a re-cycled 1590 from my very second build.
now...it may not seem like much, but it's real nice and creamy!! i built mine with the balls pot on the side of the pedal, so i can roll it with my foot to adjust it. you may wanna do different.
anyways...it's built, it's verified, if you want a schematic, you gotta draw one!!! it's basically a pair of eh lpb1's cascaded, with a footswitchable diode clipper between e of q2 and ground.
easy breezy sleazy goodness... can double as a fuzz or an overdrive. if you leave off R9, and turn the gain pot all the way down, you get farty nasty octave down/ringmod/escobedo kinda horrible nasty sounds,
that SOME of you guys may enjoy...i just added the resistor to prevent that, but when ya breadboard this, you may like it better without.
i didn't measure voltages, i cranked the top trimmer full blast, then the bottom up till i found a sweet spot. if you get rf noise, turn vr2 down just an RCH.
there ya have it;
