Blackout Effectors Whetstone Phaser

" The vintage sound of an analog OTA-based phaser melded with contemporary parameters out the wazoo. From classic and not-so-classic sounds, subtle and over-the-top phase tones, mellow through seasick pitch vibrato, ringmod, glitchy octave effects, and outright strange phased/autowah/tremolo hybrid sounds you won't find anywhere else. No doubt the Whetstone can do things that your current phaser can't "

This was a request.
Original FSB thread and unverified schematic avilable here.
Update! The first link on the right of the bottom 13600 should go from the Base of 2N5087 to the Collector of the 2N5088.

4ms Standard Swash

Here is the larger version (now discontinued) of the Noise Swash.
One of our members (Kornel) was given the schematic by Dan from 4ms and he asked me to draw a layout for it.
I don't have permission to publish the schematic but the layout matches it.
Please do not ask for it.

Foxx / Sears Phasing Pedal

Here is a monster layout for a 70s phaser made famous by Brian May.
No many infos/videos around.
You can find the schematic in the original DIY thread here and FSB's here.
To draw a layout for this wasn't easy. To build it would be as difficult.
Double check everything is correct before starting.

There are no great quality videos but I'll add a couple just to give an idea.

BYOC Parametric EQ

Another "requested" monster layout! At least this one doesn't use any weird components.
You can find all infos and schematic from their website here.

Visual Sound Jekyll & Hyde

This is a verified layout of the Grey Version with an added Bass Boost switch borrowed from V.2
It's basically 2 modified well known circuits in series (TubeScreamer & Shredmaster).
There are 2 versions:
- a true bypass version were you wire two separate 3PDT footswitches in series.
- the original Visual Sound version which uses a Multiplexer Switching daughterboard.
The result should be a much smaller pedal compared to the original.
You can check Strassercaster verified version on the forum section.
Schematic and original thread from FSB are available here.

Lovetone DoppelGanger (Gigahearts FX Doubel Ganger)

It's been a while since I've uploaded a monster layout. Therefore...
Here is LaceSensor's version of Lovetone DoppelGanger analog phaser.
You can find all info, build doc, bom and manual on Madbean Forum here (free login required)
You could also buy PCBs when available.
29/11/2016 Layout updated & Verified: removed cut next to bottom right corner TL074 pin 11.
Here is a video of the original pedal (slightly different from this version)

Roland AG-5 Funny Cat

Here is a "heavily modified" layout for the old and weird Funny Cat.
The original pedal sounded a bit...
Me and Gavin (Hozy31) have been working on this to try to improve the sound.
We added Moosapotamus mods, a buffer at the "Normal" side input to avoid "tone sucking" problems and a boost (SHO) at the SDS/Normal switch output that works only when the Harmonic Mover is switched off, to avoid volume loss when using the fuzz on its own.
Gavin has tested the final result and he's very happy with it.
There are videos of the original AG-5 on YouTube but we prefer not to add any here cause this version sounds quite different (in a good way)
You can find more infos and sound clips of Moosapotamus modded version on his website here.

THAT Jam Compressor

Here is a DIY project similar to the Carl Martin Compressor Limiter.
There are 2 layouts: a large one that works at 9V and a smaller one where you need to decide a way to feed +/- 12V to the circuit (just a charge pump with regulators wouldn't work with this circuit).
You should read the original threads from FSB here and here before building this effect.
Good luck!

Parasit Studio - Into The Unknown

Fredrik (Freppo) from Parasit Studio asked me to draw a vero layout for his latest creation:
Into the Unknown Guitar Synthesizer Deluxe, the big brother of his 0415 Guitar Synth.
If you want more infos on this great pedal or want to buy one of Fredrik's tidy PCBs you can check his website: www.parasitstudio.se

Here is a slightly modified version to stop ticking in bypass mode.
Removed the link between pins 8 & 11 of CD4069 in the top right corner and changed the LFO switch to DPDT On-Off-On.
Connected pin 8 to the new switch lugs 4 & 6 and pin 11 to lug 5.
Thanks to Michael Oriente for his suggested mod!
You can check Comments for more details.

Sagan Delay

Another new gigantic layout for you!
This is a Chris Carter's project from Madbean's forum.
He tried to create a PT2399-based delay that resembles the Roland Space Echo.
You can find all extra infos here:

Liquid Mercury "Tap Tempo" Phaser

I know this layout size breaks the basic rules of this blog but we don't have many Tap Tempo projects and
this pedal (together with the Twin Peaks Tap Tremolo) sounds incredible.
I think they both would be a great addition to the website's library.
This is a great project by David Rolo from Madbean's forum
(check his website here: http://www.davidrolo.com/)
You can find all infos about this pedal here:
http://www.madbeanpedals.com/forum/index.php?topic=18859.0
Thanks to Hozy31 for verifying this one!
