Death By Audio Apocalypse - On-Hold

Original FSB thread and schematic available here.
Rotary Switch is 2P5T and they are not always numbered.
I've called the 2 poles A & C.
When the switch is on "A-1" position on the other side is on "C-1" position... and so on.
Original circuits' schematics use Ge diodes but the Apocalypse's one doesn't. Need to test.
-Layout updated to latest schematic!

  2. By the look of that video death by audio really skimps on the solder

    1. TBH, they're work is very shoddy across the board. The more I build and the more pedals by "boutique" pedals I see the guts of I find it interesting at what they get away with and really for the amount of money they cost I find it completely unacceptable.

  3. So this is like the Fuzz War (one of my favorite Muff pedals) but the last stage can be replaced with noise making stages? I can't wait.

  4. There is a problem with the schematic and it's reflected in the layout. The clipping diodes D1 and D2 can't work because they don't go anywhere. There needs to be a connection between the collector of the far left transistor in the layout to the node where the two diodes connect to the 470k resistor. Check out the Fuzz War schematics on FSB to see the correct circuit.

  5. i wouldn't recommend building this one yet since i believe that the schematic on FSB is incorrect. i etched a PCB according to the schematic and tested it and, IMO, it's not right at all.

  6. I did build this on Saturday and yes it has a few problems. I put it in my debug pile as i thought it may have been a solder bridge or layout mistake on my part as i didn't have time. At the moment clipping positions 2 & 3 are not working and positions 1, 4 & 5 sound very harsh. I may well check it over with an audio probe and see were its going wrong.

  7. Did this schematic ever get fixed? Is the one on here the updated version of it?

  8. Same comment as above, any fix coming or updated version?

  9. Just bumping this. Curious if anyone has been working out the bugz

  10. Yeah, I'd love to build this pedal. Is anyone working on an update?
