  1. Alex thanks for posting this. So fast! Doesn't this also use the charge pump?

    1. Nope, there is no charge pump on the Alpha Dog.

The TC7662B-based charge pump I used was actually a voltage inverter, providing +V and -V. So if there is no -V power rail in the schematic, then no charge pump is used in that pedal.

  2. In their tech specs they mention you can plug a 9V up to 18V power supply.
    No charge pump.

    1. Hi Rodrigo, what kind of switch? Can you explain? :-)

    2. Simply connected to hard 1-2-3 and to soft 1-2-3 instead of pots?

    3. Yes, an SPDT on-off-on switch is essentially a drop in replacement if all you want are the fully CW, fully CCW, and 12:00 settings. To get more variance, you can add a pot in series with the switch - this will let you set the amount of saturation & compression.

    4. Very smart and effective - like the old Alpha Dog version, I guess... Thank you both!

  5. Is there a sub available for the W1m? Could a linear taper be OK to use?
