Here's a collection of vero (stripboard) and tagboard guitar and bass effect layouts that we have put together covering many classic and popular effects in growing numbers. Many of these have been posted on freestompboxes.org, so check that site out for great discussions on building your own effect pedals. Maxon OD-F1 Fire Blade Overdrive Effector
YATS from '94, recycled by Maxon. Asym clippers and slightly lower rolloff frequency for the high pass. Should be a decent alternative for the standard TS.
I think I may have to build this just because of the name. I *need* to be able to shout: "engage the Fire Blade Overdrive Effector!" before launching into a suitably crazed solo.
Woo Woo! Another great Maxon OD/DIST pedal. I used a JRC4558 and it was good. Then a 5532 then a 2134. They were not; too my surprise as good as the JRC4558. Then I put in a TL082! That was best by far. verified.
Man Mirosol. I thank you!! Your work is impeccable and the stuff you post is just fantastic. I've probably built over a hundred of your posts and the 70-80 that worked first time (lol) were/are great. My pedal board has been on stage with your stuff for about 5 years now without a single crap out. I've played/collected pedals since the original Tube Screamer and your stuff is more tweekable, cheaper beyond reason, and every bit as good soundwise as costly classics that I have had and still own. Thank you.
What are you guys (spammers) talking about? .. Any one seen the schematic for the Muffuletta. It's 6 Pi's in one pedal. I can't find it. I think one of you geniuses could trace it easily. Did I spell geniuses right?

Hi M.
ReplyDeleteIf it says Maxon I am building it. If I finish first and it works I'll let you know.

TA75558? I guess if it ends in 558 one knows what to use....
ReplyDeleteI also like trying the TL082 in place of the 4558, depending on the pedal sometimes it adds a nice edge.
Try TL082.
DeleteHi Mirosol. I just finished the Distortron and Mostortron. They are are in a line with this Maxon pedal on my board for now.!!! What a sound!
