Sounds like it is very subtle change, so I think I'd rather just leave it out. There's not much that can go wrong with it to be fair. Increase the resistance between pins 1 and 2 and you increase gain. So if it's not working I'd check your pot with a multimeter to made sure the resistance between pins 1 and 2 is changing as you rotate it.IvIarkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08416945174853142251noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6847048658257278783.post-41683457549507864782020-12-06T09:07:43.050+00:002020-12-06T09:07:43.050+00:00Has anyone verified the 3rd layout? I tried building this circuit but the layout is from another site,it didn't work.the gain pot does nothing, bass and trble seems fine, the signal is kind of an overdrive in zero gain and thats about it even untill the gain is fully ccw....and now im trying to build timmy from this site.just trying to make sure if anyone has verified the 3rd layout yet 😁 thanks for reading my mumbling 😅JunmarFusillerohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04465318105647425108noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6847048658257278783.post-60273438249631166692020-10-05T18:50:11.812+01:002020-10-05T18:50:11.812+01:00Can this run at 24v for even further headroom? Also, the volume pot isn't doing anything. Lastly, as I move the circuit board around a bit, I get a bit of a buzz and no signal sometimes. When the board is in the right place it works great though. Also, my build could really pour on more treble and gain than the real one. Enough so that I wonder if I have the same circuit. Can there be that much variety in the components that would account for such variance? mjmclanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11157077428694357513noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6847048658257278783.post-18339659304504275392018-08-31T02:02:55.016+01:002018-08-31T02:02:55.016+01:00This comment has been removed by the author.mjmclanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11157077428694357513noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6847048658257278783.post-34120575365890889982018-08-10T02:01:12.363+01:002018-08-10T02:01:12.363+01:00Is this layout ok for 18v use?Is this layout ok for 18v use?David Wilsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04433553745139287511noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6847048658257278783.post-37936728050253066952018-05-08T18:50:40.005+01:002018-05-08T18:50:40.005+01:00What is the purpose of the 100R resistor? What is the purpose of the 100R resistor?cacopandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17903314093674324849noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6847048658257278783.post-62074599798831370832018-04-28T14:16:07.176+01:002018-04-28T14:16:07.176+01:00Ive built this but output is, at best a farty nois...Ive built this but output is, at best a farty noise
All voltages good, v+ and earth fine,
when i track szignal using an audio probe the signal drops across the first cap .
