  2. Looks nice! But I can`t find D3 on the Layout.

  3. There is no D3. That was a left over polarity protection diode that I didn't include.

  4. Verified. Great pedal. Sounds really good with guitar as well as bass.

  5. Happy to see another bass pedal. Question:The env. jack sleeve to grond I suppose. But what about the env. Jack ring?

    1. on the layout it says env jack tip.
there is no ring.just use a mono jack or if you have a stereo, leave ring lug empty.
if you have an account on fsb, you can check the schem yourself too.

  6. Follow up.
If I wanted these in one box. Would I simply wire tip>tip, ring>ring, sleev>sleeve? I've done a lot of doubles in a box so the 3pdt wiring is like you post on your site. Thank you very much. Not to get all misty eyed, but, I cannot imagine life without tagboard builds!!! I love this website. Thank you Mark and all contributors.

  7. The offboard wiring page (on the tab at the top of the page) shows how to do dual effect wiring

  8. Question: Does anything goes to SW3 or it's left ''empty''?

  9. Re: env jack tip. What is that? Where specifically would this wire go? I have it functioning with that wire hanging loose, but I'd love to know what it's for.

Re: 3mms led. Does color change much? I have red in there now, is there any color that might be more stable or smoother?

    1. The envelope jack is used to connect it to the Chunk Systems Agent 00FUNK. Sleeve goes to ground. You should test different LEDs to see which one sound best.
All info and schematic are on FSB forum.

  12. Hi to all!!! I made this effect And sounds great... But i have some questions / issue.
    1) Is it normal to have lower volume when i switch toggle button on HARD mode?
    2) Do you have unpleasant sound (constant whistling) when turn "drive" on full? - demonstration on YouTube dont have...ONLY noise.

    Thank you. J.

    1. I've also had the probably with the volume drop using the switch. Wondering if there's an error with the schematic, as it doesn't happen in the demo.

    2. I've checked the veroboard layout against the schematic...everything checks out. Might be a typo on the schematic itself. Based on what I can remember from my audio electronics class...I think R17 (the 100k connected to the bottom row and sw4) is affecting the dirty level when hard clipping is selected, effectively lowering the maximum volume at the voltage divider's output. I think. I'm going to try lowering this value tomorrow, I'll see if it does anything good.

    3. Okay, yeah, confirmed it. The original schematic has a typo, and thus so does this veroboard layout. All you have to do is turn that 100k resistor in the bottom right into 10k.

  13. After using the audio probe I found a little bit of fuzzed signal in the input point so I suggest I have a bad ground.
I found another issue: with gate pot at 0 and drive at max the pedal whistle a lot.
I'm a noob so somebody can help me to solve these problem?

  15. Just writing this here for anyone to see: the schematic this veroboard is based on has a typo. R17 (the 100k resistor in the bottom left) should be 10k, not 100k. If you use 100k, you'll have a huge volume dropoff in the dirty signal when you switch between clipping modes.

    1. Thanks! It's been updated.

    2. I've got an original Brown dog on my bench at the moment. R17 is definitely 100k and it does have a volume drop in Hard mode.

  16. Hey, if you set the clean knob to maximum and dirty knob to minimum, are you still supposed to get a "fuzzy" sound? Mine doesn't sound clean at all on this configuration, only way to get clean sound is if gate is at maximum and even then if you pluck hard enough you still get a bit of distortion which I guess is fine due to tolerances and such.
